Rummy on RS9 - formats, stakes and how a hand settles

A practical guide to playing rummy inside the RS9 app: the four formats supported, the stakes for each, the rules around declaring and how winnings settle to the wallet.

R1

Points Rummy

Single hand. ₹8 entry at the lowest table. 1 point = ₹0.1. Winner takes the point value of the losing hand.

R2

Deals Rummy

Fixed number of deals (typically 2 or 3). ₹5 entry. Each deal is scored independently; chip-counting across deals.

R3

Pool Rummy

101-pool and 201-pool variants. Players are eliminated as they cross the pool limit; last player standing takes the prize.

R4

Tournaments

Fixed-start-time lobbies with large fields and larger prize pools. Listed under Tournaments inside the Rummy tab.

How a hand settles

  1. Each player is dealt 13 cards from a standard deck; one printed joker plus the wild-joker rule applies.
  2. Players draw and discard in turn until someone declares a valid hand (one pure sequence, one impure sequence or set, all 13 cards grouped).
  3. An invalid declaration results in a full-count loss (80 points in Points Rummy).
  4. The winner's net point total, minus the standard rake, settles to the RS9 wallet.

Stakes and entry

Entry at the lowest table is ₹5 (Deals) or ₹8 (Points). Higher-stakes tables open as your balance grows; VIP level affects the daily loss cap and rake-free deals at higher tiers. All rummy tables on RS9 use the same wallet as fantasy, sports and games.

Limitations

  • Rummy is real-money play. Verify the state-level legality before signing up.
  • Rummy requires KYC before the first withdrawal. Complete KYC inside the app.
  • Tournament schedules change; the in-app tournament list is authoritative.

FAQ - rummy

What is a valid declaration?
One pure sequence (no joker), one impure sequence (with joker is fine), and all remaining cards grouped into sequences or sets. Failing any of these makes the declaration invalid.
What is a wrong-show penalty?
A wrong-show declaration loses the full count (80 points in Points Rummy) regardless of the opponent's hand value.
Can I play rummy on a slow network?
RS9's rummy tables require a stable connection; mid-hand drops are treated as per the in-app rules (typically forced drop with the standard drop penalty).
Are rummy bots allowed?
No. RS9 rummy tables are player-vs-player. Multi-accounting or bot use results in account closure.
