How fantasy cricket works inside the RS9 app: pick a real fixture, choose your XI, set captain and vice-captain, and enter a Mega Contest against other users. Yes/No prediction markets run alongside.

How a fantasy cricket contest works

Pick a fixture. The RS9 app lists today's matches from the cricket calendar. Each fixture has one or more contests with explicit entry fees and prize pools.
Build your XI. Select 11 players within the credit budget. The credit budget is visible in the team builder; overspend is blocked at the source.
Set captain and vice-captain. Captain scores 2× their points; vice-captain scores 1.5×. Picking the captain is the highest-leverage decision in fantasy cricket.
Join a contest. Mega Contest (large field, larger prize pool), Head-to-Head (one opponent), or a Practice Contest (free, no prize).
Track live points. The scorecard updates ball-by-ball. Your team rank moves as points change.
Settle at the end of the match. Final points are calculated from the official scorecard. Winnings settle to your RS9 wallet.

Mega Contest

Large entry field, large prize pool, multiple rank bands. Best for users with a strong read on the fixture.

Head-to-Head

Two users, one prize. Sharper skill gap, smaller variance, faster settlement.

Practice Contest

Free entry, no cash prize. Use it to test a team-build or captain pick before committing real money.

Yes/No predictions

Pick the outcome of a specific match event - first-innings total, top batter, top bowler, powerplay score. Multiplied payouts.

Multiplier markets

Multiplied yes/no predictions on the same fixture. Risk-managed by stake, not by team-build.

Captain picks desk

Use the in-app captain-picks desk to see how captaincy is leaning across the field. Treat picks desk data as one signal, not a prediction.

Fantasy cricket + sports betting context

RS9 also runs sports markets on the same fixtures: match winner, top batter, top bowler, totals. Fantasy and sports markets settle independently, so you can mix one fantasy entry with one sports stake on the same match without either result affecting the other.

Limitations and responsible play

Real-money contests are restricted in some Indian states. Verify your state's status before signing up.
Past fixture results do not predict future outcomes. Treat any "form" data inside the app as descriptive, not predictive.
Set a deposit cap inside the app before your first contest. Fantasy contests add up faster than single-event bets.
If a session runs longer than planned, use the cool-off period under responsible use.

FAQ - fantasy cricket

Can I edit my team after the toss?

No. Team lock happens at the official toss time published by the operator. After lock, captain and vice-captain cannot be changed, and you cannot swap players.

What happens if a match is abandoned?

Match abandonment is handled per the contest rules visible in the contest detail screen. Most contests refund the entry fee; some settled contests apply the official Duckworth-Lewis result.

How are points calculated?

Runs, wickets, catches, stumpings and strike rate contribute. The full points table is visible in the contest detail screen inside the app.

Is there a practice mode?

Yes. Practice Contests are free, do not pay cash prizes, and are a good way to test a team build before entering a paid contest.
