UPI deposits, withdrawals and the new daily limit rules
UPI remains the fastest rail for both deposit and withdrawal on RS9. Here is what each VIP tier unlocks and where limits apply.
Deposits
UPI deposits are instant. The minimum is ₹100; the maximum is set per transaction by your bank and by the operator's deposit rules. Welcome bonus tiers are paid on first deposit; verify the current tier structure inside the app.
Withdrawals
Withdrawals are processed to a verified bank account. The processing window depends on your VIP level:
- VIP 1-5: standard 24-hour window, one free withdrawal per month up to ₹10L.
- VIP 6-10: faster processing, two free withdrawals per month up to ₹20L.
- VIP 11-15: priority queue, three free withdrawals per month up to ₹50L.
Daily limits
The operator enforces a daily deposit cap that you can lower inside the app under Responsible Use. The default cap is the maximum published for your account; reducing it does not change your VIP progression.
What you can set yourself
- Daily deposit cap - under Responsible Use inside the app.
- Cool-off period - 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.
- Self-exclusion - minimum 6 months, no reversal during the period.
A withdrawal request does not move on its own. It enters a queue, gets matched to a verified bank account, and clears the operator's payment window before the bank credits the balance. UPI is the fastest rail because both sides of the queue settle in seconds; bank transfer rails and card refunds take longer and may attract fees above the free allowance that comes with each VIP tier.
How limits are actually shown to you
Two sources of truth exist for limits on the RS9 Android app. The first is the operator's published policy, which sets the maximum daily deposit cap, the per-transaction deposit ceiling, and the monthly free withdrawal allowance. The second is the in-app display under Wallet, which reflects both the operator policy and any personal limit you have configured. The lower of the two is the one that actually applies to your account.
What to do when a deposit is held or a withdrawal stalls
- Open the Wallet tab and check the transaction history for the exact reference ID.
- For deposits: confirm the UPI reference on your bank's app matches the one shown in the RS9 transaction history. A mismatch usually means the deposit was sent to a previously used VPA and is auto-refunded within 24 hours.
- For withdrawals: confirm the bank account on file is verified and matches the name on your RS9 profile. Mismatched names are the single most common cause of stuck withdrawals.
- Use the in-app chat under Contact to send the reference ID to the support desk. Reference IDs route faster than screenshots.
What this article does not promise
- Bank-side settlement time varies; UPI is fastest, IMPS and NEFT are slower, card refunds are slowest.
- Free withdrawal allowances reset on the operator's calendar month, not on your billing cycle.
- Daily deposit caps you lower yourself remain in force through any VIP promotion unless you raise them again.
- Limits can change between app versions. Verify the current numbers inside the app before committing to a deposit or withdrawal plan.
